I'm married to my best friend, Alan, who is a PE Teacher and Personal Trainer. Together we have two boys, Beau and Lincoln and live in Fort Worth, TX. 

I became a Childbirth Educator and Doula in 2013 and love helping couples become empowered and educated about pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond!

In 2017, I graduated from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Holistic Health Coach and now work to help others with their health goals.  



My journey to health starts out in a very common scenario. Back in the mid 2000s, I was in my mid-20s and I was experiencing a lot of symptoms that no “healthy” 20-something year old should be experiencing. I was having anxiety, racing heart, and weird tingling/burning pain on my extremities. I went to several doctors to figure out what was wrong with me and was diagnosed with different illnesses based on symptoms from different doctors and prescribed medications by each doctor. Sound familiar?! Not one doctor asked me about my lifestyle or my diet, nor tried to figure out the root cause as to why I (a healthy 20-something year old girl) was having all of these symptoms. I was never told I’d get better or shown interest in helping me heal from my symptoms, just Rx medications and sent on my way to popping pills and coping with pain! Unfortunately... this is where it ends for most people. 

Thankfully, I was not OK with the idea of taking meds my entire life and just accepting that I'd have to live with all of these symptoms. I became an advocate for my own health and started doing research. I soon realized that my “healthy” diet of sugar-free fat-free foods, diet soda, and personal care products all had chemicals linked to neurological disorders. Racing heart, headaches, anxiety, neuropathy pain…. I had it all! I slowly started to change the way I was eating to a whole foods based diet, I started to clean up my personal care and household products to get out the toxins, and I started using holistic approaches to my health instead of taking medications and drugs for everything. I paid attention to how I managed stress and ways to help me sleep better. I have been researching and sharing healthy living tips with friends and family ever since!
